Quartz, granite or marble?

You must first determine your needs before answering this question.
Quartz:
Resistant to scratches and stains, quartz conveys a modern style and is ideal for workspace.
Composed of 93% crushed quartz and 7% resin, quartz is non-porous and naturally resistant to moisture. However, avoid direct contact with heated elements as its color is likely to change.
Granite
The unique and natural appearance of granite makes it a good choice for a workspace, but its porous nature makes it more vulnerable to scratching and staining. Granite requires regular maintenance and should be sealed as often as once a year to prevent from serious scratching and staining.
Marble
Marble is perhaps the least recommended stone for a kitchen workspace because of its porous and delicate nature. It is very sensitive to scratches, splinters and cracks. It is the ideal stone for a piece of furniture, a wall or an accessory.

How to clean your stone countertop

A mild soap and lukewarm water is all you need to clean your new countertops. Avoid using harsh chemicals such as ammonia or bleach, and instead opt for granite cleaners with sealer that are perfect for daily cleaning and maintaing its glossy finish.

Can I cut directly on my granite countertop?

Although not recommended, you risk damaging your knives more than granite itself. This stone is ranked 7 on the MOH hardness scale, and as manufacturers, we use diamond-tipped blades to cut this extremely solid material!
